Lou’s Lions

11th May 2021

As many of our Castle Tower School family will be aware, we lost our colleague Louise in August 2020. Louise was a member of our teaching staff who worked tirelessly for our pupils and was such a valuable member of the Castle Tower team.

Not only was Louise a staff member but she was our friend.

Those who knew Louise will remember her wonderful personality, who was in the middle of everything, always ready to try something new, loved to keep fit and wanted all the other staff to take part as well. No one got to stand still near Louise.

As a tribute to Louise and in her memory, the staff of Castle Tower School have formed a team called Lou’s Lions. This team is ‘Exercising their way through May’ in memory of Louise. That’s 31 days of exercise. To some this may sound easy, but it is certainly a challenge for many of us. We are raising funds for ‘Friends of the Cancer Centre’ which was a charity close to Louise’s heart.

We would love to support their work in her name and we are aiming to provide 100 hours nursing care for people in need! This costs roughly £2500. Our team have been working hard for the past 10 days and so far we have raised £2200 which is phenomenal.

When a Castle Tower team sets their minds on something they give it their all.

We are asking you to help us blast through our target for Louise.

If you wish to sponsor us in our exercising challenge you can send money into school or you can donate through our Just Giving page.
