STEM Engineering Competition

25th Sep 2017

Four pupils from Castle Tower School came 2nd in a STEM engineering competition organised by the Rotary Club Northern Ireland in partnership with Sentinus. Ciara, Jordan, Nathaniel and Ethan were asked to design and manufacture a device that could lift an item from a set distance. They competed against schools from all over the country and came a very deserved 2nd place. They were the first Team to successfully lift an object out of a difficult structure and return it safely. The judges were very pleased with their working design and praised them on their teamwork.

Here they are receiving their certificates in assembly with Mrs Anderson and Mr McPeak.
