Last year Co-operation Ireland along with a youth led steering committee delivered the Amazing the Space project which saw 5,000 pupils across Northern Ireland and beyond take part in youth led peacebuilding initiative.

Castle Tower has been part of this initiative submitting our school peace pledge.

Following on from creating our Peace Pledge we participated in ‘Living out our Peace Pledge’. Our project was led by our Year 10 pupils and we shared the project with one of our link schools in Lebanon. Our project involved creating Peace Stones in Art. During Citizenship class pupils created a short video clip on Conflict Resolution. The Peace Stones were distributed across the whole school and included an insert on how the stones should be used. Our project was shared at a showcase event in the Eikon centre which royalty attended.
