Agriculture Students

22nd Oct 2019

Castle Tower’s first ever ‘Agriculture’ students with their new boiler suits and wellington boots.

Castle Tower Agricultural students looking at the cattle and sheep facilities which they will feed the livestock in during the winter months as part of their agricultural course.

The students examined the various livestock which they will carry out their ‘animal husbandry’ element of the agricultural course.

Our students visited local suppliers and services used by McCaughan’s Farm. Thank you to the following businesses for their hospitality and information given to our pupils.

MVH: Hardware supplies and tools, Gerard Kennedy Farm Machinery: Machinery sales and repairs, North Antrim Country Stores: Animal feeds, S. O’Rawe & Sons: Agricultural contracting and plant hire, Armoy Livestock Market: Sales of sheep and cattle, John McCurry & Sons: Agricultural merchants.

Our students hope to take part in this exciting agriculture event for pupils aged 15-16 throughout Northern Ireland.
